Rivalry Run
Did Hoover Kiwanis Rivalry Run 5K - ~39:55 (12:52/mil). This one had both a 5K and 8K leg. I pre-registered for the 8K, but wimped out this morning and changed to the 5K. Last year's time (2009 - Iron Bowl Run) was a little bit better (39:42), but this is still a sub 13:00/mile!
A sista just trying to keep in good health and hoping to inspire others along the way!
Non-athlete, but loves being active - running, hiking, tennis, etc.

I started running right before New Years 2009, so it wouldn't be just another New Year's resolution that I didn't keep - :). Unfortunately, my spirit and my will have lasted longer than my knees - after only running for about 3 years, my knees are failing. This is largely attributed to a very serious knee injury and surgery years ago and falling victim to arthritis. But I'm not giving up. I keep moving - ANY MOVEMENT IS BETTER THAN NO MOVEMENT AT ALL!
